MAGNOLIA THEATER

The Magnolia Theatre provides FREE, family entertainment for all ages inside the Choctaw Event Center. This year's entertainment will be top-of-the-line with performances by actors with Durant's renowned OSF. Check out our Entertainment page for more details and specific performances times as they become available.

 

BOOTHS & VENDORS

With vendors from all over Oklahoma and Texas we are sure you will find something perfect to take home. The Magnolia Festivaltakes place at the Choctaw Event Center and has everything from unique arts and crafts to informational booths as well as handmade jewelry, clothing, accessories, products, and much more! Booths are open on Thursday, June 2 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, June 3 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, June 4 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Interested in being a Magnolia Festival vendor? FIREWORKS

You won't want to miss the spectacular fireworks show beginning at dusk on Thursday, June 2 at the Choctaw Event Center. The display is presented by Brady's Stockpile O' Fireworks.

 

CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES

Join in on our free children's activites on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Activites include the annual Parade, Turtle Race and much more for youngsters to participate in.

PARADE

The 2016 Magnolia Festival & Durant Rodeo Parade will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4. The parade will include floats, horses, car entries, parade marshals and more.

 

TEXOMA ARTS ASSOCIATION SHOW & SALE

Be sure to stop by the Magnolia Festival Art Show and Sale. Here you will find a variety of local artisans paintings, sculptures, wood pieces, and more that can be enjoyed and purchased. 

 

DURANT RIDING CLUB MAGNOLIA RODEO

The Durant Riding Club's 75th Rodeo will take place in conjunction with the 2015 Magnolia Festival and will feature two nights of non-stop rodeo action at the Bryan County Fairgrounds on S 9th Street in Durant. Thursday, May 28 at 7:00 p.m. is Slack and Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30 at 7:30 is the Rodeo. For more information, contact Ken Edelen with the Durant Round Up Club at 972-571-6348.

 

NATIVE AMERICAN EVENTS

As headquarters of the Choctaw Nation, Durant will showcase the history and folklore of the Choctaws. The Choctaw Dancers will take the stage with Princess Pageant, immediately following, features young ladies displaying traditional dresses and talents. Through their colorful dance movements, the dancers tell stories rich in Native American heritage that always delight the audience. Stay tuned for dates and times.

 

CARNIVAL

Make plans to attend the Pride Amusements Carnival at the Choctaw Event Center with games, rides and fun for all ages. More information to come.

 

20TH ANNUAL DURANT ROTARY MAGNOLIA BIKE TOUR

The Magnolia Bike Tour, beginning at Carl Albert Park, will take place on Saturday, June 4 at 8:00 a.m. Advance Registration and information is available at www.magnoliabiketour.com.
